Best Dentist in London- Pembridge Dental Review

Finding a great dentist in London has always felt like a bit of a difficult mission for me. It's not just about getting someone who knows their way around a set of teeth but finding dentists who truly understands what I need and makes me feel comfortable sitting in that chair. Considering I've had my fair share of dental adventures in the past, from metal braces, Invisalign to having lots (and seriously, lots) of cavities filled, I always carry a little bundle of nerves with me to dental appointments.

Recently, I decided to give Pembridge Dental in Notting Hill Gate a try for my checkups, and it was awesome. I decided to visit Pembridge Dental because everything from their beautiful website, affordable pricing to the lovely-looking clinic and the friendly staff interactions felt really inviting. Plus, they have state-of-the-art dental equipment and the best dental materials available for patients, which sounded pretty reassuring to me.

So on a fine Saturday morning, I made my way to Pembridge Dental. First off, its location is superb, just a short walk from Notting Hill Gate, which meant that it was very convenient to get to. My first impressions of the clinic was that it was extremely comfortable. The clinic is beautifully renovated, complete with a children's play area, a cozy couch, relaxing music, and even water on offer. 

The team there was so lovely and friendly. They immediately made me feel at ease, making it feel more like I was at home rather than at a dental clinic. Not to mention, I totally loved the artwork hung up on the walls! They made the whole place look very inviting. 

I then proceeded to have a dental examination with Dr. Farhood Alizadeh, who was nothing short of amazing. Regular dental checkups are crucial because they help detect early signs of issues like cavities, gum disease, and oral cancer. Early detection means easier, less costly treatments and preventing more serious problems. 

For my checkup, I was given a free iTero 3D scan which is included with every check-up at the clinic. An iTero scan takes super clear 3D pictures of your teeth and gums. This helps your dentist see problems easily, make better teeth devices for you, and plan your treatment well. 

Pembridge Dental’s embrace of cutting-edge dental treatment is honestly something that makes them stand out from other dental clinics. The 3D scan of my teeth and mouth allowed the dentist to see everything on a big, interactive screen. I even got to play with the screen myself! 

The process was straightforward, involving a scanning device in my mouth that took numerous photos of my teeth, which were then constructed using AI. This technology is a game-changer for dentists, allowing for a level of precision in diagnosis and treatment planning that was previously unimaginable. 

I was very relieved when I was given the all-clear in the exam—no cavities, despite my sweet tooth. The dentist then took X-rays to closely examine my teeth for any cavities, paying extra attention to my right side wisdom tooth which was impacted sideways. I really appreciated this, as I felt that the dentist was thorough and helped me identify any potential issues early which means that I could plan the best course of action in the future. Seriously, I felt like the dentist paid attention to details and really advised me on what to do about my wisdom tooth problems as well as what to do about some of the previous fillings that I did. It was really helpful! 

The dentist also taught me how to brush properly, use toothpaste effectively, and then proceeded with the Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT) cleaning for my teeth. GBT is a new way of cleaning teeth that completely transforms the patient experience. It replaces traditional cleaning methods with a revolutionary system using 'AirFlow' technology—a mix of warm water, air, and soft powder—to remove all bacteria (biofilm) contributing to tooth decay and gum disease. 

Honestly, the GBT was surprisingly comfortable and quick (it lasted around 10 minutes), a huge plus for someone like me who used to be a little nervous about traditional cleans. Afterwards, my teeth felt brand new—smooth, clean, and fresh. It was like all the plaque and grimy feeling vanished, leaving my mouth feeling incredibly refreshed!

The professionalism and friendliness of the dentist were outstanding, making my entire experience fantastic. The dentist made me feel really comfortable by being super professional and friendly. They knew a lot about teeth and explained things in a way I could understand, which made me feel safe and taken care of. Pembridge Dental takes the time to really get to know their patients, which I felt during my visit. They provide ongoing care tailored to every patient's needs. It's really something special to receive such personalised dental care.
