As a huge fan of sustainable natural fashion, I was thrilled to have discovered Boody, a retailer from the UK which sells the most gorgeous bamboo clothing for both men and women. After exploring their lovely site, I discovered that all their clothing are made from the highest quality bamboo cotton, a super soft and luxurious material. Bamboo clothing are ideal for those who do sports or those who love ethical, sustainable and "slow" fashion. In fact, the advantages of bamboo clothing are that they are:
- Super soft and smooth to touch
- Antibacterial, since bacteria does not live well in bamboo fabric. So it doesn't get smelly even after extensive use or sweat.
- Protective against UV- as it cuts out over 97% of harmful UV rays.
- Great for the skin- since it is completely natural and ethically made.
- Great for moisture control- it absorbs moisture and sweat easily.
My order arrived within a few days and it was beautifully packed. Now, onto the review!
The first 2 items I got were the
Downtown Lounge Pant- I got them in both colors. This was a lovely soft bamboo trousers with the most gorgeous fabric and color ever as it runs along the top and the bottom. This gives the trousers a really relaxed and chilled look, making it very stylish and sophisticated. In terms of the quality, this is definitely one of the best trousers I've ever owned since it's pretty much perfect in terms of weight, thickness and material. Bamboo clothing really
is better! The pants were a deep blue colour, is non-creasy and super well-fitted, and I totally adore the dark blue colouring since it is quite timeless. Another win for Boody!
I also bought their
Everyday slip- it was the perfect blend of comfort and style as it clings on to the body without feeling restorative. I can wear this slip to work, play or for sleep. It's an extremely versatile piece and would do anyone's wardrobe justice. Perhaps the most comfortable piece that I got from this haul was their
Goodnight Sleep Cami- this camisole is loosely fitted but looks flattering and elegant on the body. I love the v-cut neckline and how it drapes across the body well. Boody's quality is impeccable and all of these items are silky-soft and extremely well-made.
Overall, I'm highly impressed with Boody's range of loungewear and would recommend them to anyone in need of something comfortable and light.
