As a houseplant lover and a newly-turned plant mum, I have one major problem- my plant pots look awful! The plants that I buy from nurseries come in brown or grey little pots that do not match the aesthetics of my room, and they're a bit of an eyesore sometimes if I'm perfectly honest. Today, I want to talk about how to make your plant pots look better. I will be featuring an Etsy shop called Amalue Leith, which sells the most beautiful eco-friendly, hand-painted plastic plant pots that I've seen in a long time.
A bit about the shop- Amalue Leith sells wonderful plastic planters that are painted by hand. Yes- every single one of their pots are hand-painted with love by the owner and they're truly beautiful pieces of art in their own sense. The best thing about the shop is that they have a very wide range of pots- more so than other shops you can find. They allow you customise the painting if you want. They also sell extra-large planters for huge plants which means that you never have to worry about having unattractive nursery pots in your house ever again!
Take a look at three of the pots that I got from their lovely shop!
1) Retro extra large planter - they say bigger is better, and this planter is truly extraordinary. I got this retro planter because it looked vintage and chic. It comes in three different shades but I chose a pastel hue to match my minimalistic room decor. This planter was hand painted and I love the owner's use of color. The planter pot is around 18cm in diameter, which means that I can comfortably fit my 15cm pots within the space. I used it to pot my monstera plant and it looks so chic!
2) Black painted extra large planter- this piece is a work of art and features a lovely unique design. I've never quite seen anything like this before. The grey paint looks amazing with any type of interior design, and matches my room very well. I love how spacious this planter is. I have a large peace lily which has been sitting in it's brown plastic pot for ages. This planter makes my plant look so much better.
3) Eco friendly tie dye planter- this quirky little pot is smaller (15cm in diameter) but don't let it fool you as it looks quite majestic in the house. I love the abstract pattern on the planter, as it blends well with my white wallpaper and room decor. This beautiful planter now houses my tradescantia plant which is very happy in it's new home.
Overall, I'm really happy with my plastic plant pots from Amalue Leith. Not only are they lightweight, sturdy and great quality, but their designs got me a lot of praise from family and friends who came over to my flat for dinners. They all asked me where I got these beautiful pots from! I highly recommend spicing up your old plant pots by adding a planter from Amalue Leith.
