How To Decorate Your Plant Pots - Lake Meadow Pottery Review

As a plant lover, one thing that I have struggled with is finding the right decorative pots to cover up my plastic planters. Plastic planters are great for younger plants, but they don't really go with any type of interior design and can look mismatched on your windowsill. Today, I want to talk about how to spice up your plant collection by using ceramic pots to house your houseplants. I will be featuring one of my favourite ceramic shops on Etsy called Lake Meadow Pottery, which sells some of the best ceramic planters that I've come across.

A bit about the shop- Lake Meadow Pottery is founded by Tim Fluck, who makes ceramics by hand in his studio in the heart of East Sussex. Each and every one of his ceramic pots are unique and handmade, so all the orders take around 1-2 weeks to complete from scratch. The shop sells a variety of unique and beautiful ceramic planters, mugs, jars, vases and teapots which come in different shapes and colors. What's unique about this shop is that their range of designs are unlike anything that I have ever seen, which means that each item is truly an individual piece of art that can be used to decorate your home.

I got two lovely ceramic pots from the shop which I am going to show you today. The first is this Pink Ceramic Plant Pot which was one of the first items that caught my eye from the shop. It's rare to find such a beautiful pink color on a pot. The pot looks quite bright and bold, but the pink glaze isn't too saturated so the overall look of the ceramic pot is quite subdue and soft. I love how the pink glaze blends in with the minty green color at the top, and the pot also had extra textures on the sides. Overall, this beautiful pot is one of my favourites and housed my Snake Plant comfortably. The shop sells these pots in 12cm and 15cm sizes, but can custom-make any pot you want if you have bigger plants. 

The second thing that I got was this gorgeous Plant Pot Ceramic - Eden Blend which is decorated in a lovely mottled dark green glaze. I love the details on this pot as the colors are subtle but stylish at the same time. There's a white rim at the top, which makes the pot look extra chic and contrasts with the dark green color well. The glaze is really lovely, and the pot looks well-made and sturdy. I chose to put my Cebu Blue plant into this little pot as I thought they would match, and voila- the results are that it transformed my boring brown pot into something of a work of art. This pot's color and design means that it is extremely versatile and can pretty much fit anywhere- in your office, on your windowsill or on a dining table. 

Overall, I'm really happy with these pots from Lake Meadow Pottery. The pots were affordable, well-made and extremely stylish, and I cannot recommend them enough. Hope you liked mt review!
