One of the most common mistakes that people make is that they don't buy rugs for their studios. A carpet is soft, cozy and feels like "home", and it is actually really easy to maintain!
I'm approaching the end of my student years, but I want to pass on some wisdom to you all who may be starting university or school soon. Now, I always felt homesick when I first moved out of my home and into a student dormitory. The student rooms are small, lonely and empty- and quite frankly not very pleasant to begin with. However, I slowly learned to decorate the room with wonderful things that students can afford, and over time I've learned to love my room!
I'm going to talk about the best accessory for your room- carpets. In particular I want to show you this brilliant rug that I got from Woolous, one of the most affordable and delightful sheepskin rug and accessories shops that I've ever seen. They sell student-friendly, single-room friendly rugs for everyone, and they're absolutely wonderful!
I got this Genuine New Zealand Sheepskin Rug for my student dorm room recently to replace my old rug, and I have to say that this is one of the best investments that you can make for your dorm. This rug arrived after around 1 week of ordering, which is incredibly fast. It came rolled up in tape and wrapping, and arrived in perfect condition. It wasn't too heavy, so I carried it up to my dorm room.
My studio room's not too big as it is an en suite room with a bed and toilet. It's about 20 square meters in size, so I wanted a rug that can cover the sofa. I hate walking with slippers, so a carpet was the best way to make myself more comfortable and happy.
In terms of the design and colour, I chose a white shade because I wanted it to match the floor of my room. white is also suitable for many types of rooms. The brand sells a variety of sheepskin rugs with different shades, including black, white and grey. I loved this white sheepskin rug since it had a shaggy design, so the fibres would stick out and sink into your toes as you stepped on it.
The best thing about this rug is the thickness and comfort of it. With it's thick pile (4cm) and exciting colours, these rugs are very soft and comfortable to walk on or to relax on after classes. The front of the rug is made from a soft sheepskin fabric. The biggest benefit being that it is well suited for people with allergies for synthetic materials for example. It also doesn't shed, which makes it easier to clean. I'm in love with the thick, soft rug and I sit on it all the time!
In terms of the quality, I have to say I'm impressed with the make and manufacture of the rug. On the backside of these rugs, you can find a thin protective layer of suede which prevents it from sliding around on the floor, thereby improving safety. It really sticks to the ground/sofa, and doesn't slide around when I walk. The other thing is that the sheepskin rug feels really sturdy and durable, and I'm sure it can last me for years. I'm only studying for a few years, and I hope this can last me through everything! Hope you like my review!
