The Best Merino Wool Tops Ever- my Vera & William Review

The cold winter has been here for so long in Hong Kong, and I'm really excited to share with you my latest winter haul that I got for my wardrobe revamp. For those of you who know me, I've been transitioning from a wardrobe made mostly of synthetic materials to more natural, sustainable materials such as merino wool and cashmere. I have been wanting some warm merino wool items for a while now- I'm tired of the sweaters that I own which are made from polyester or acrylic, as these fabrics aren't warm at all. Vera & William manufactures everything using extremely detailed precision and attention to detail, and everything is cold-proof and fabulous! 

Here's a detailed review of my giant haul from this amazing brand.  

1) Rose Genser Merino Silke Top- this top caught my eye because of it's unique pastel colour. The jumper features a beautiful, gorgeous rose hue, which blends quite well with my wardrobe of blacks and whites. I am always wearing black and white, and wanted to inject some colour into my life, and this top is perfect for work or play.

In terms of the quality, Vera & William never disappoints. The fact that this top is made using the finest techniques and materials means that it is one of the most exquisite jumpers that you can get. There's nothing that beats the lightweight feel, soft fabric of this jumper. The fit and style of the jumper is amazing. It's soft, fitted and looks wonderful when paired with jeans and some heels. I also love how it can be worn for various occasions, for example it can be layered underneath a suit or worn casually over a jacket. I'm super impressed with Vera & William's quality and styles- everything they have looks like something out of a fashionable magazine, and I'm in love with their range of clothing!

2) Merino Silke T-shirt- this gorgeous functional pastel t-shirt that I got from the brand impressed me a lot. This versatile tee really impressed me as it is extremely fine and made from high-quality materials. I found that this tee pairs well with anything in my closet, and it is quite classic in design so I can wear this tee with my casual outfits. As for the details, the top features a high neckline which protects your chest from the cold winds, and is slim-fitting so it nips and tucks at all the right places. This tee is particularly flattering for girls who have athletic bodies, as it would enhance the shoulder and arm area!

A cool way to style a merino wool top is tucked in to a skirt- when you pair it with some heels and a jacket, it will look amazing. Another way is to style it with a cool pair of trousers and some white trainers, for a more "street-style" look. It's so versatile that everyone really needs to try these lovely t-shirts!

3) Merino Silke Top- as you can see, the quality of the long-sleeve top is amazing. It's made from 100% pure merino wool which originated from Italy. Italian mills have some of the finest merino wool because of the quality of their sheep, and it's of no surprise that some of the most valuable wool are produced there. This top is extremely comfortable, feels ultra soft and smooth. There wasn't irritation when I tried it on, and I've been wearing it everyday underneath my jumpers and jackets for extra warmth. I have to say, it's really keeping me cozy and toasty all winter.

As for the design and fit, this top is designed with a rounded scoop neck front for the ultimate lightweight, warm, soft, comfortable, superior quality base layer. The round neck means that it's not too revealing and low-cut, and it protects the chest area which is vulnerable to the cold. It's odour-resistant, fast-drying and moisture-wicking, and I never feel the need to take this off at all since merino wool and silk regulates your temperatures pretty well.

Overall, I'me extremely happy with this long-sleeve top, as it's impeccably designed and made with care. The quality is outstanding and the design, feel and effect of this top is on point. It definitely keeps me warm during the winter months.
