Dry hands- they're the bane of my existence. I have lost track of the number of times I've snagged some skin on my fingers, or got home and found (to my horror) my fingers bleeding from the dry skin and snags. The skin on your hand is sensitive to the moisture in the air, and today I want to talk about how I cured my dry hands once and for all.
A bit about the brand in focus- Nursem is a range of hand care products developed with nurses to help combat the effects of relentless hand-washing. Their products offer natural intensive care for all hard working hands. They specialise in hand creams which moisturises, protects and nourishes- without all the chemicals that goes in traditional creams. Nursem was set up by Antonia, a paediatric nurse, and her husband Jonny after Antonia encountered problems with cracked and sore skin on her hands due to extensive hand washing.
The 2 items that I got was the Caring Hand Cream and the Caring Hand Fix. The Caring hand cream is suitable for hands which are extremely dry and damaged, and it's like a moisturiser but it's completely scent-free and delicate on the skin. This non-greasy, fast-absorbing cream is like a godsend to my dry hands as I've been suffering from cracks and broken skin for a long time. It's designed for nurses who wash their hands a lot, and need moisturiser that won't damage their skin. It is designed to be used little and often throughout the day to immediately soothe, hydrate and reduce the risk of further on-going discomfort. High in Omega 3, 6 and 9 and Manuka Honey, this cream is one of the most powerful hand creams that I've ever used.
I have been using this product on my hands after showers, and I'm really impressed with how hydrating and light it is! The cream is also very lightweight and can be taken anywhere. I tend to have extremely dry skin, so I used this for my hands all the time. It comes in a beautiful screw lid jar which looks luxurious, glamorous and chic. I adore the packaging of Nursem as well.
Finally, I got this lovely Caring Hand Fix which is made with similar ingredients from the Caring Hand Cream above. This lotion is of a thicker consistency than the hand cream that I talked about before. It is quite a heavy and nourishing cream, which can be put all over the hands. I really like the consistency of the cream, as it really manages to strike the balance between light and moisturising that many other creams don't. It really solves my cracked ankle and elbow problem and dry skin rashes, and I can't ask for anything more!
Overall, Nursem is an affordable hand care brand. The practical element of this skincare range is perfect for women and men with sensitive skin or those who work in an industry that requires a lot of hand-washing. Personally, I really like the smell of Nursem's products, and they are completely hydrating and moisturising. It's definitely worth checking them out, and they'd make lovely presents for your loved ones! They're available in Boots too!
