Hey girls! Today, I've just completed my 20th yoga class having started a few months ago. I'm really proud of myself for getting so far. It's been an amazing journey foraying into the wonderful, sweaty world of yoga, pilates and exercise. I feel more refreshed, invigorated and energised.
However, did you know that your usual workout clothes may contain harsh chemicals that harm your skin? I didn't know that before, but after doing a bit of research into the composition of normal activewear, I realised that I wanted to change my wardrobe into something a bit more natural, ethical and sustainable. In other words, I wanted some activewear that is good for the skin.
I want to introduce you to one of my new favourite shops- Sundari Creations. This brand, founded by the lovely Anna Sundari, specialises in natural, eco-friendly and conscious clothing for women who are active and love nature. They make clothing that are designed to last, sustainable and best of all, super stylish for those of you who worry about looking frumpy in workout clothes. All of their leggings are made from organic materials and their clothes are honestly so beautiful.
I got this lovely pair of Whisper In The Wind Leggings made from organic bamboo- apart from being extremely photogenic, these leggings are made from one of the softest fabrics that I've ever touched. These leggings are composed of 100% organic bamboo, which drapes around my leg really well and doesn't feel heavy at all. Bamboo is completely breathable, comfortable and perfect for yoga as it stretches according to your body shape. The leggings feel very soft and beautiful, and it looks lovely on too. As you can see, the quality of the leggings are fantastic. They are totally opaque despite being thin and lightweight, which means that you won't have to worry about wearing a special type of underwear for your workout. Many leggings that you see on the market are made from polyester or artificial ingredients which harms your skin. These Sundari Creation leggings are completely the opposite- natural, gorgeous and unique.
The pattern is also fantastic, as it looks like something straight from the forest. The print is unique, abstract and beautiful, and I love wearing this pair of leggings for yoga or for a casual stroll in the park. It's versatile and lovely, and also very trendy too! I paired it with a black top to give it an elegant feel, and no two pairs are the same since Sundari prints these patterns using actual leaves! Can you imagine that?
As for the quality and design, the leggings are not high-waisted, so they sit at the hips level. I got a size Medium and it fits me perfectly. It is ruched at the bottom, so it's not the longest of leggings. However, I love the length as it's suitable for yoga, pilates and running. They really flatter any type of body shape and carries a slimming effect on the body.
I love the cotton fabric that Sundari used to make this pair of leggings. The leggings are super stretchy but soft at the same time, which means that I can wear it for my daily yoga class without any discomfort. I'm really sure that wearing organic, natural leggings are the way to go, since I have sensitive skin that doesn't deal with artificial materials well. These Sundari leggings keep me looking stylish, comfortable and cute at the same time! They come in various colors such as black, maroon and white, so there's something for everyone.
Overall, I'm really impressed with Sundari Creation's range of natural, beautiful activewear. I've been looking long and hard for natural exercise clothing that doesn't look too old-fashioned or frumpy, and this shop is exactly what I've been looking for!
