Cursed with shortsightedness, I have always been a girl who has to wear glasses. I've only just recently gotten contacts so I'm still most familiar and comfortable around my good old glasses. My usual glasses are small, plain and shrinks my eyes as the lenses are made for comfort rather than fashion. I wanted to get a pair of frames that suit my face and look stylish at the same time.
I recently got a new pair of glasses from Hook LDN, an awesome eyewear brand that sells a variety of cool sunglasses and optical frames. Founded by Zak Biddu in 2014, the brand has a huge range of frames suitable for every face shape and style, and their frames are made with the utmost craftsmanship and quality. They sell to a variety of stockists in the UK, so you can find their glasses at a lot of local optical shops.
Without further ado, here's the pair of Dylan glasses they kindly sent me!
As for the quality, Hook LDN really impressed me with their frame. The frames are well-made, durable and extremely good quality. In fact, the little side arms on the frames are lightweight and strong, and looks like they can last for years to come. The glasses also features acetate on the part of the glasses where it hits the ears, and it just looks aesthetically pleasing as well as high-quality. I didn't expect to get such a good quality pair of frames for such an affordable price, and I'm really impressed with my glasses.
As for the convenience and comfort, these glasses absolutely feel light on my face and is easy to wear. The glasses don't slip off unlike others as they have a plastic ledge, and the frames are thin, well-fitting and isn't too tight or too loose. Sometimes, glasses hurts my head as they're just so tight, but these were perfect for my head. I think Hook LDN really got their designs calibrated to fit most people, so it's great to know that their glasses will always fit!
I'd definitely order more glasses from Hook LDN as I adore my new pair. I never thought an online glasses company can make such awesome goods, because usually, I get my glasses the old fashioned way- through a walk-in store, waiting for a few weeks, trying it on and then paying for it in cash. Now with the internet available, everything's so convenient, I never even have to leave the house!
