I've NEVER had my hair done in London as I'm always too lazy, busy or in the wrong place at the wrong time. However, I recently tried out one of the coolest blow dry bars in London called Duck and Dry, an awesome shop that is known for their great blow-dry styles and friendly atmosphere. I'm so excited to share with you my experience getting a blow-dry and show you all my photos!
Duck and Dry is a stylish blow-dry bar located in King's Road, London. They have a few other stores, but this one was their flagship store. I decided to go in there on a Friday night and get myself pampered. The shop is beautiful and welcoming, and the staff were really friendly and went the extra mile to make me comfortable. I even got offered a glass of bubbly!
The first thing the stylist did was wash my hair. The shop has these cool hair washing stations which ensured that the hair is washed without making your shirt wet. My stylist massaged my scalp too, so i was extremely comfortable and relaxed. After the hair wash, I was asked what style of hair I wanted, and I chose this gorgeous beachy wave style that I saw on a magazine.
I was told to sit in front of these giant blow-drying stations, and another stylist came and blow-dried my hair clean. I felt like a million dollars since the mirrors were lit up, gorgeous and looked amazing. The shop is absolutely beautiful and I feel like I'm on set in an expensive movie theatre, and I definitely felt like I was the leading lady in a play!
After around 20 minutes, my hair was set, curled and ready to go. The end result is amazing- my hair looked like a princess's and the tresses were curled, styled and sprayed. The curls that I chose were voluminous, large and had bounce, and suited my face shape well. I even got to take lots of selflies in the shop as they had this corner which was decorated with plants and a cute little stool.
I really enjoyed my experience at Duck and Dry, and I'd definitely come again. Their impeccable service, luxurious shop and friendly staff made my experience really positive!
