I'm going to talk about the best accessory for your room- carpets. In particular I want to show you this brilliant rug that I got from RugVista, one of the most affordable and delightful carpet shops that I've ever seen. They sell student-friendly, single-room friendly rugs for everyone, and they're absolutely wonderful!
A bit about the brand- RugVista is a shop that sells high-quality rugs for a fraction of the price in furniture shops. On their site, you can find thousands of machine-knotted rugs with a range of styles. These include oriental as well as modern styles, in a range of different sizes and colours. You will also find a large number of modern rugs that go really well with slightly trendier furniture. They're perfect for students on a budget, or for young people who newly moved into a flat!
One of the most common mistakes that people make is that they don't buy carpets for their student rooms. A carpet is soft, cozy and feels like "home", and it is actually really easy to maintain!
I got this Shaggy Sadeh Grey Rug for my student dorm room recently to replace my old rug, and I have to say that this is one of the best investments that you can make for your dorm. This rug arrived after around 1 week of ordering, which is incredibly fast. It came rolled up in tape and wrapping, and arrived in perfect condition. It wasn't too heavy, so I carried it up to my dorm room.
Shaggy Sadeh Grey Rug - best rug for student rooms
My room's not too big as it is an en suite room with a bed and toilet. It's about 17 square meters in size, so I wanted a rug that can cover the floor. I hate walking with slippers, so a carpet was the best way to make myself more comfortable and happy. This rug that I got was 200cm by 140cm large, so it fits perfectly on my floor. You can of course get smaller sizes!
In terms of the design and colour, I chose a grey shade because I wanted it to match the floor of my room. Grey is also suitable for many types of rooms. RugVista sells a variety of shaggy rugs with different shades, including pink, blue, black, white and red. They have pretty much every colour you can think of, and they're so brilliant! I loved this grey rug since it had a shaggy design, so the fibres would stick out and sink into your toes as you stepped on it.
The best thing about this rug is the thickness and comfort of it. With it's thick pile (4cm) and exciting colours, these rugs are very soft and comfortable to walk on or to relax on after classes. The front of the rug is made from a plastic material with a textile feel known as PP Heatset, a material with several positive characteristics. The biggest benefit being that it is well suited for people with allergies against animal fur for example. It also doesn't shed, which makes it easier to clean. I'm in love with the thick, soft rug and I sit on it all the time!
In terms of the quality, I have to say I'm impressed with the make and manufacture of the rug. On the backside of these rugs, you can find a thin protective layer of latex which prevents it from sliding around on the floor, thereby improving safety. It really sticks to the ground, and doesn't slide around when I walk. The other thing is that the rug feels really sturdy and durable, and I'm sure it can last me for years. I'm only studying for a few years, and I hope this can last me through everything!
RugVista is having major sales and their rugs are super cute. I hope you can check them out!
