Have you ever wanted clothing that was up cycled and ethically friendly? Have you ever considered buying sustainable but stylish fashion? I want to introduce you to my new favouritee shop called Madia & Matilda, where their boutique and designers work hard to create lovely designs that can be worn on all occasions. I'm a HUGE fan of ethical fashion and this brand is one of my favourites, having purchased something from them before.
A bit about the brand- Madia & Matilda is a gorgeous, brilliant clothing label, specalizing in ethical and sustainable fashion. They sell their range on Silk Fred, ASOS Marketplace & Brighton Fashion Week. The brand creates unique pieces which are made for the everyday woman, and their range is luxurious and stylish without looking too over-the-top like some of the recycled clothing shops that I've seen. I love their range of skirts and dresses too, as they're versatile and perfect for this summer.
I got two items from their shop, and I'm really excited to share with you my thoughts on these goodies. The first item that I got is this gorgeous green Carly dress. This dress is a maxi dress with a split leg, which is quite sexy but sophisticated. The maxi dress has a tie-back detail, and it's also lovely and soft, as it is made from jersey which is soft and smooth. I love the design of the maxi dress as it's really flattering and looks great for the summer.
The quality is great as Madia & Matilda is a high-quality brand. The stitching on the dress is really good, and there are no loose stitchings. The fabric of the dress seems excellent, and it's soft and comfortable to wear. I adore the colour too, and the brand sells this dress in green and black. I love their black one too, as it's really versatile and great with a cool, blue denim jacket.
What I love most about this dress is that there's a beautiful back strap detail, which gives the dress a cool look. This dress gives off a very fun vibe, and it would be perfect for beach holidays or workplaces that are more casual and fun, like a startup or a young business. But it's biggest advantage has to be it's versatility- it can be worn for a date with a boyfriend, a new acquaintance or just friends, and you can also dress it up for an evening meal at a fancy hotel. The dress easily looks chic and stands out from the crowd- I know I certainly got lots of compliments wearing this dress!
The second item that I got is this gorgeous Rachelle suede dress. I got a Size 8 and it was the perfect size. It's a shift dress, which means that the design is quite relaxed and not figure-hugging. The suede material is pretty soft and smooth, and it feels extremely comfortable and lovely to wear. I love faux suede, because it's especially soft and feels way better than real suede.
The dress even has two pockets and they are made with a lovely floral outline. I love the little details of this dress, as it's up cycled fashion at its best. The design of the dress is quite stylish, as the cutting is perfect on people of all body shapes. I am quite round in the middle, and I like how this dress flatters my legs without making my middle look more round.
Overall, I'm super happy with these two items from Madia & Matilda. They're lovely and designed really well, and I've never seen such a unique range of clothing in my life. Their site is super accessible and easy to use. With their impeccable designs, beautiful styles and perfect quality, this is definitely a shop to check out.
They also sell on Sustain Sister and Ethical Market and their own site.
