3 Ways To Style A Silk Top- Bianca Elgar Review

This season’s latest trend is silk- lots of silk tops, scarves and boleros are on the runway this year, and it’s no surprise because silk clothing has been one of the most fashionable and iconic looks of the modern century. Today, I want to talk about 3 cool ways you can style a silk top for the upcoming season. Without further ado, here are 3 ways that I've styled one of Bianca Elgar's Black Twill Silk Tube Tops. This piece is a stylish addition to any wardrobe and can be worn in so many different ways!

1) Bolero 

 The first way to wear the silk tube top is to put the top behind your head and wear the arms in the sleeves. The sleeves are really loose and flowy, so it gives off a chilled, casual vibe. This style is my favourite way to wear Bianca Elgar's silk tops (and pretty much any silk top) as it's really comfortable and can also keep you warm in the windy weather. This exudes class, simplicity and gives of a minimalistic, casual vibe.

The way that I styled it is that I paired it with a white tank top and blue denim shorts. This outfit is for the summer, but you can wear this top as a bolero during the colder months too. I like the feeling of the twill silk, as it's ultra soft, luxurious and very comfortable to wear. The lightweight material is extremely  high quality and smooth, and for the price this is an extremely gorgeous garment! I love the quality of Bianca Elgar and their silk items, as the workmanship is extremely good, and the silk top feels better than the ones that I get in expensive branded shops!

2) Scarf

You can also wear Bianca Elgar's silk tube tops as a neck scarf, wrapped casually around the neck in a sophisticated, stylish knot. This lavish, gorgeous scarf looks super minimalistic as the size is not too large or too small. It also looks extremely good with white or lighter clothing, and can make you ooze Parisian vibes. I love how the tube top comes in a large, rectangular shape so that you can fold it into any scarf shape that you want, including one that you drape over the shoulders. 

As it is summer, I've chosen to tie a small, simple knot which looks beautiful and stylish. I don't like huge scarves, and the fabric of Bianca Elgar's scarf means that it drapes beautifully and can easily be tied in a lovely knot. As you can see in the photos below, I've chosen to wear it around my neck, but you can easily tie it around your waist as a belt, or around your bag as a cool accessory. It's basically so versatile that it can be tied in any shape or form that you wish! 

3) Tube Top with Kimono sleeves

The last way that you can wear this lovely scarf top is over the head, as a tube top with loose, flowing kimono-styled sleeves. As you can see in the photos that I took below, the top tucks into trousers or shorts really well, and looks quite unique and elegant since the top is draping and form-fitting, yet loose and comfortably relaxed at the same time. I really like the "oversized" luxurious look that many runway models and fashion designers go for, and this Bianca Elgar top lets you recreate the look without all the hassel!

I adore the fit and size of the tube top, as most of Bianca Elgar's items are one-size-fits-all and can fit any body shape or size. The top that I got looks glamorous and quite striking, since it's jet black and a bit shiny which gives off a lovely feeling. I paired it with denim shorts and flats- a rather basic outfit, but you can totally dress this tube top up with trousers, high heels and dazzling jewellery, which would contrast well with the black colour of the silk.

Overall, I have shown you 3 ways to style a silk top: 1) you can wear it as a bolero which is perfect for the hotter months, or when you want something to cover your arms without looking frumpy; 2) as a scarf over the neck, which looks cute and casual; and 3) as a tube top over the head, which is one of Bianca Elgar's special looks from her collection.

My favourite ways has to be the first and third, since it's usually how I like to style my tops and suit more casual occasions, but the best thing about Bianca Elgar is that they let you wear these tops however you wish, and it's the flexibility and great quality that makes them so unique!
