The Best Type of Bag for University or College - The Leather Satchel Co. Review

As a university student in my final year, I've always struggled to find the perfect backpack to carry all my things. Nothing seems big enough to fit, and the backpacks that do fit tend to look too bulky, too sporty or just plain unstylish- and I'm too embarrassed to carry around a sport's bag! Totes tend to be too heavy for me too, as they don't have back straps or anything for me to carry without using my hands. Today, I want to show you my new backpack from The Leather Satchel Company, an awesome leather bag brand that sells all sorts of accessories and bags made from pure leather.

A bit about the brand- The Leather Satchel Company is an exquisite, beautiful shop that sells a huge variety of leather bags for men and women. The company began 50 years ago in the beautiful city of Liverpool, and it is owned by the Hanshaw family which has been making leather bags since the early days. The skills and talents required to make a bag is immensely high, and the company has developed their own method of manufacturing these leather bags with the highest precision and quality. It's a bag full of history, fullness and legacy.

The Leather Satchel Company is famous for their leather satchels, which is a classic design and features a shoulder strap and a smaller-sized bag. However, they also have a great range of backpacks of various sizes. They have 14-inch backpacks, but I chose to get a larger 15-inch one for my laptop and books, as I needed something bigger and stronger. I received my 15-inch Made-To-Order Portrait backpack in the mail, and it looks absolutely stunning!

As you can see, my backpack is lovely and came in a beautiful dark brown colour. The Leather Satchel Company sells bags that are both pre-made or made to order. I chose the latter option, and I was able to customise every little detail of my bag, including the engraving (which says "Bae"), the golden buckles next to the straps, the extra volume boost and the extra shoulder straps that the company sent me. I'm really pleased with the flexibility of their service- you can pretty much make everything for anyone, and they would make great gifts for anyone!

As for the sizing of the bag, I feel that this bag fits every single one of my books and laptop, and still has room for my clothes and makeup bag. Some may say that it's too big, but I feel that a 15-inch bag is perfect for me. It would also suit a man, so their bags can be worn in a unisex fashion. They have really feminine colors for you to choose from, but I wanted something darker and cooler. It's so perfect in every way!

As for the quality and feel, the bag is impeccable in every way. The leather is smooth, luxurious and soft, and some of the best quality leather that I've ever felt. It was thick and durable and I think this bag will last me a lifetime. I'm honestly not joking- The Leather Satchel Company sells bags that will last you a lifetime, at an affordable price. Compared to other backpacks, this leather bag definitely feels softer, lighter and more durable- not to mention it looks extremely stylish and hip.
