I'm a huge fan of timeless, classic designs, and I'm always on the hunt for new boutiques to share with you. Today I want to introduce my latest obsession- Traffic People. This brand sells the most amazing range of skirts and dresses that I've seen in a long time. All of their designs are so edgy and glamorous, but they're all tailored for the modern women who wants a little "revival" of the glamorous fashion days of the roaring twenties and thirties.
A bit about the brand- Traffic People started out selling clothing in London's Portobello Road and Camden back in 2002. The aim of the brand was to bring a modern twist to women who want elegant, timeless designs with an edgy, darker vibe that makes everyone showcase their inner self. Influenced by designs from the 20s and 30s, the team from Traffic People designs clothing that revamps the old glamorous days and transforms an ordinary wardrobe into a sophisticated and unique one.
The best thing about Traffic People is that they don't do "fast-fashion". Nothing is mass produced and made in small batches. Sometimes they only make around 50 pieces of each style! After expanding rapidly, Traffic People can be found in lots of online stores around the world such as ASOS and Silk Fred.
Anyways, I'm going to review 2 of my recent finds from their shop. I'm totally in love with them and I styled it in a way that I'd normally do if I go out!
1) Seriously sequin jacket- this is so gorgeous and an absolutely love staple piece. I matched it with jeans and also their matching skirt, and both looks really complement the vibe I'm going for. The fitting is pretty perfect- I got a size Small which fits a UK8-10, and I absolutely adore the design. Perfect vintage piece!
2) Seriously sequin mini skirt- this is probably my favourite piece from their shop. It fits perfectly as a high waisted skirt, and looks good on almost anything- shirts, blouses, t-shirts, long-sleeves- you name it, this beautiful skirt will fit. I paired it with a variety of outfits, and they all look so stunning. I received lots of compliments on this skirt, and I'd highly recommend it to girls who love a bit of bling!
Overall, I'm totally in love with Traffic People's store. They even have an Outlet section where they sell hugely discounted items, and they're so affordable that I can't help but want to buy the whole of their shop!
Do visit them and let me know what you think!
