Shoes of Prey is a shop that lets you totally customise every aspect of your shoe. In fact, they even have lots of shoe types to choose from- heels, flats, mules, ankle boots, taller boots, sneakers - you name it, they've got it. The most amazing thing is that they have this awesome 3-D model of your shoe when you're designing it, so you can see every little bit of what the shoe's going to look like!
I found that their website was extremely user-friendly and easy to use, and all I had to do was select the type of shoe I wanted, what colour and materials I wanted it to have. What's cool is that the soles and heel heights were totally adjustable! I want to share a bit about my experience ordering from them and receiving the most amazing pair of flats that I've ever owned.
To begin, I was asked to choose my type of shoe. I chose this pair of black flats because it looked timeless and elegant, and had a lovely pointed toe so that it makes anyone look instantly slimmer. I also wanted a pair of flats that can be matched with dresses and ripped jeans. I was asked to select from a range of leathers and soles. I chose the softest nappa leather outer and a darker inner lining, with a black stripe on the back. It looks super impressive and gorgeous on the 3-D model!
The shoes arrived within 2 weeks of ordering via express shipping, so that was incredibly fast. I've ordered custom made items before and they all took like 6-7 weeks! Apart from the fast shipping, I was incredibly surprised at the beautiful wrapping and the packaging. It looks like something from a luxurious brand!
I literally gasped in shock when I unboxed the shoes. They are brilliant and looked exactly like the photo on their website, and the colouring and everything was pretty spot on. Nothing looked different than what I expected, and the shoe is made from an extremely beautiful leather and a lace overlay. Everything I wanted, including the inside text inscription (valued at $49) was spot on! Shoes of Prey lets you put your own sweet message inside the shoe, and I just wrote a sweet message to my boyfriend although I'm sure he won't get to see it! The lovely thing about designing your own shoe is that you always know what to expect. It won't turn out differently than what you imagined, which is always the case whenever I buy shoes online.
In terms of comfort, these are probably the most comfortable pair of pointed flats that I've ever had. The low heels were perfect for girls like me who always suffer from heel pains. The fit of the flats are perfect, since I got an EU 39 which was what the site helpfully suggested I get (they have this cool fitting feature). I'd recommend using their site's built-in size calculator to get the best fit. I can walk a mile in these booties and never get sore!
For the price, these shoes are really worth it. By all means, these shoes can be considered to be on the medium-end of prices, but the quality exceeds anything that I've ever imagined. When I opened it, it feels like I've gone to shoe heaven!
