I'm doing another small-review on another of Nescafe's Cafe Menu instant coffee series. I finally finished the box of Nescafe Skinny Mocha (click for my review) and needed some more coffee, since it's the time of the month when there's a LOT of stress going on.... coffee may not be great for health, but it sure does keep me awake at crucial times.
I headed to my local supermarket yesterday to buy groceries and saw the Nescafe Double Choca Mocha on sale (£2.50 for 8 packets). I brought one box and decided to try it out the next morning. Here's my thoughts on this product - firstly, it has got a very attractive packaging and picture on the front. The name "Double Choca Mocha" is what attracted me in the first place!
It has got 88 calories and 1.7g of fat in each packet, so it is not very good for dieters or for anyone who wants to lose weight. However, for 88 calories, it sure does pack a good chocolate punch and is great for keeping me full. I actually had a cup of this mocha this morning, and I had been starving in the morning. After a full breakfast, I still felt hungry, but one cup of the Double Choca mocha was enough to stop my cravings and I felt quite full afterwards. It's also not too sweet and was just right.
It's also very convenient to make - just empty a sachet which has real CHOCOLATE BITS (yum!) and smells awesome, into a mug or a paper cup...
... add hot water, stir with all your heart's content...
... and enjoy! Great for those in a rush, like me, even though I'm ALWAYS in a rush even on Sunday mornings when I actually have nothing to do except make coffee and watch TV.
So here is the final result - a cup of yummy, gooey and very foamy Double Chocolate mocha! Texture is good too, not too dark, milky but not over the top. It was quite smooth. I'm actually finding my silly ways of cooking and living off coffee quite hilarious. And I get to take beautiful pictures of instant Mocha coffee in a mug sometimes.

I used to drink instant coffee all the time back in the day... I don't know why I stopped but these days I usually grab one at Starbucks or brew my own cup on the weekends :)
