Decorating a Beach wedding

There's much hype about these so-called "Beach weddings" in the last decade or so. Maybe people are straying away from traditional weddings (like my cousin's last week - cartoon drawings of the bride and groom!). I'd like to just talk about a particular wedding theme- the Florida Destin Beach wedding, and show you all some really wonderful pictures by the amazing Breakers, a wedding design company.

Beach weddings such as the ones featured at Breakers are really pretty and simply gorgeous. The decorations used for the wedding have to be altered in order to fit a beach theme. The weather must fit too. There are actually so many methods one can play around and use to design a wedding and use the most original ideas. I've never planned a wedding before, but it seems so much fun to actually come up with a theme and a set design. A gorgeous wedding feast!

I went "Oooh" and "Ahh" at the picture above. Isn't it magnificent and really surreal ? This is actually part of a beach wedding banquet hall in Florida, where the final feast of the wedding will take place. Take a look at some of the wedding rooms they designed... and be amazed at the details and intricacies...

Flowers are something that elegant beach-theme weddings must always use, as it is the best decoration that represents freshness, beauty and life. Exotic flowers can help keep up the beach theme and also create a gorgeous bouquet for the bride herself. Flowers like the ones above will help to keep the atmosphere light and let guests enjoy this unusual floral centerpiece compared to traditional usage of roses or lilies. Besides, the groom and his groomsmen may also use exotic flower boutonnière to put in their jacket pockets. 

Beach weddings also mean the most elegant, pastel-pale wedding fineries. Apparently, traditional tuxedos and bridesmaid dresses are not allowed as they can be very uncomfortable when it’s too hot at the beach and everyone will feel really uncomfortable. Makes sense! For the bridesmaids, light sundresses are usually worn so they can look festive and free. As for the men, it’s also better for them to wear something more light, or a white suit, rather than traditional costumes with ties.
