I just came back from Vietnam yesterday afternoon, after a summer trip to visit my best friend's home (she's vietnamese!). It was beautiful, with scorching sun and the most exotic tropical fruits, and I was in food-heaven most of the time... The days were spent visiting the homes of her relatives and picking fresh fruits off the orchards, playing with dogs and young children, and eating real authentic Vietnamese noodles.
1. Snapshots of scenes from Vietnam, from the car window , 2. Best friend's adorable little sister , 3. Waiting for the cable car eating ice cream , 4. Cable car up the mountain , 5. Dry noodles with pork and vegetables, mixed with chili and fish sauce

And the nights? They were the time where she and I would ride around the town with a motorbike, going around and around, acting real crazy and happy, and chatting along the way. A typical night would end with us going into a coffee shop to get something to drink, or sing along to our ipods, or discussing our future and life goals.
1. Smiling on the motorbike late at night , 2. Magical lights on the street , 3. Karaoke , 4. Nothing beats a cup of ice tea in the sweltering heat , 5. Lizard on the window in our bedroom
There was also the occasional self-potrait taking, typical teenagers huh ?

So, yet another chapter in life ends, she's leaving to college, and we will probably not see each other for a very, very long time. One thing I've learned though - it's the people that matters, not really where or when you are right now. Just enjoy the moment with those around you that treasure and appreciate you for who you are, flaws and all.
So jealous! I love the Vietnamese culture.. My sister's boyfriend is Vietnamese so I have always been surrounded by the food and culture and I just love it.. We are supposed to go with his family sometime next year.. Looks amazing..

Yes, you are right, I am Greek, from Thessaloniki, it is the country's second largest city after Athens, located at the northern part of the country:) In about a week I am preparing to move though to Switzerland. I have very mixed feelings for this:):)

It's a blessing to have friends, true that it's people that matters. Your pictures are lovely. I love vietnamese food too. You are an adorable girl and your blog is cute. Thanks for dropping by my blog. It's not a norm to thrift in Singapore, but there are more thrift stores and flea markets now, so I think more people are thrifting. Following you back!
