Two years ago, I got a chance to get my "perfect" smile when I got invisible plastic braces fitted for my upper and lower teeth. The whole process involved me wearing retainers everyday which acted to slowly shift my teeth into a more aligned position. This experience was incredible and it transformed my crooked teeth completely- now, both my bottom and upper teeth are completely straight.
After my treatment ended in October this year, I was given two sets of plastic aligners to wear every night. I struggled to wear these regularly, not only because I'm rather forgetful but also because plastic retainers are notoriously difficult to clean. My retainers quickly became cloudy and I really wanted a better option to keep my smile than to wear plastic retainers. My front tooth (the most crooked tooth) also moved every time I took my retainers out so it was pretty frustrating to say the least!
I found Accessible Orthdontics through a simple search for the best Orthodontics Practise in Oxford. I was very impressed by their user-friendly website which contained a lot of information about the different types of Specialist treatments that they offered. They're a leading provider of invisible treatment options including Invisalign, Incognito Lingual braces, ceramic braces, metallic braces and appliances/retainers. Accessible Orthodontics specialises in all sorts of methods that could straighten and re-align your teeth whether it be for cometic or non-cosmetic reasons.
Accessible Orthodontics has a long-standing history in Oxford as it has been opened for over 16 years and treated over 5000 patients in its time. They treat a lot of university students who are seeking Specialised Orthodontics Treatments while completing their studies at Oxford. They also another practice in Thame as well as Oxford and they offer the same high-quality treatment options for everyone.
I was drawn to Accessible Orthodontics because they provided a very reasonably-priced option for treating my problem- namely bonded retainers which could be glued inside the back of my teeth. Bonded retainers are beneficial because they ensure the hard work that was put in while wearing braces doesn’t go to waste.
Teeth will have a tendency to relapse or move back to where they started especially in the first few months after braces have been removed and if you're not wearing retainers constantly. Because they are placed only on the back of front teeth, they are more aesthetically pleasing than other retainer option, which is exactly something I'm looking for!
In terms of the cost of my Treatment, each jaw costs £250 which is well-priced compared to many other clinics you'll find in Oxford and London. Though you can see costs for all of their Treatment options on their website and a full quote and Treatment plan will be presented to you after your initial consultation. I decided to go for this treatment option and I want to talk about my honest experience trying out Accessible Orthodontics for the first time. But first, take a look below at some of the pictures of my journey getting bonded retainers!
