To start, lets talk about the origins of the brand. The founders Wendy and Sanna created this amazing collection because it is so difficult to find high-quality garments that last a long time, so they decided to use a durable, comfortable fabric that lasts a long time and is difficult to be found on the High Street. Everything is 100% made in England, which means that the quality of the clothing is guaranteed. The result of their hard work is that the Essential Noir collection, a lovely selection of black tops (because we all know that black is the classiest of colours) that can pretty much go with anything- jeans, trousers, skirts - which is perfect for the everyday woman!
I am lucky enough to be able to try out two of their tops. The first top that I tried on was this amazing Classic Round Neck Top with Long Sleeves- when I wore the top, I was extremely impressed by the texture and feeling of the fabric. All of Essential Noir's tops are made from a material comprising of 90% Micro Modal and 10% Elastane, which means that the top is extremely soft, stretchy and lovely to touch. I've never felt anything quite like this before, and it certainly feels better than the cotton or polyester blends that you get from shops on the high street.
As you can see, the fit of the top is perfect as it hugs my body really well. I got a UK Size Small, which fits me as I usually wear a Size 8 or 10. The tops are quite figure-hugging, so it creates a lovely, feminine silhouette. The top also pairs well with skirts, trousers and anything you can think of. It's pretty much the perfect top for women who want versatile, stylish clothing. I styled it with a pair of black leather skirt and strappy heels, and the result is a super classic, elegant and sophisticated look!
Essential Noir also has a huge variety of tops that comes in different shapes and designs. Apart from the top above, I also got this gorgeous V-Neck Top with Long Sleeve- I chose this neckline because of it's flattering front, and I wanted to add an extra touch of sophistication to my daily look. When I tried this top on, I felt like I was wearing something that felt light, airy and comfortable, yet totally comfortable and easy to style. I adore the V-neck design of this top!
In terms of the quality, again the top was extremely well-made, had no loose stitchings and felt extremely luxurious and soft. I think that Essential Noir takes care in ensuring that every one of their garments are made to the highest standards, and it really shows when you try on the shirt. The soft jersey fabric is a truly unique material, and I think that you can wear it in the summer months and won't feel hot or sweaty. Again, I'd give this top a 10/10!
In sum, Essential Noir's shirts are arguably the softest and most comfortable shirts that I've ever worn. The beautifully soft material is stretchy, smooth and comfortable, and it will not fade or lose it's shape in the wash. Best of all, the brand carries a lot of different styles, including sleeveless tops, v-neck tops and wrap tops, which means that there's something for every girl out there. The items are all all reasonably priced, which means that it's affordable for everyone!
